Today is national running day (original post from 2013) and I as reflect back on my running journey I am proud to say, I AM A RUNNER! I started running to shed a few pounds nothing more, but what I gained from that initial step far outweighed the physical transformation. Those first steps were painful and awkward, but slowly run after run it got easier. Nobody will confuse me for an elite athlete or the world’s fastest man, but I am proud to say I have logged over 1,500 miles over the past three years. Running is such a blessing for my mindset and overall happiness, I am thankful that I have runner’s fever. Consider a run today even if you have never ran before it will change your life!
